Planted one of my field beds today, potatoes and some onion sets, dirt, good for the soul! birds and critters compost fork rake and shovel sweet smell of fresh earth!

Well we've had our usual delays in garden & greenhouses with high winds but today too hot for end of March. Not a breath of air working in the greenhouse & I gave up for a couple hours. Reminded me of Coleridge:
All in a hot and copper sky,
The bloody Sun, at noon,
Right up above the mast did stand,
No bigger than the Moon.
Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.
