This is good news. Sheds some light also on the immigration issue, doesn't it? America is at least partly responsible for it.
I particularly liked the closing statements that you quoted: "Vía Campesina pressures all governments and attends all the pertinent international forums. But the hope for its members is no longer hanging on the market or the state. They put their hope and trust in their increasing capacity to define what they want to eat, and to produce it themselves. That is our hope."
May that be the hope of all of us.
