Sounds like you were so upset by the first part of the story that you didn't notice the really important stuff toward the end: A TX State Senator owns a large HOA management company, and he is blocking reform legislation. Now, if that isn't the most blatant example of official misconduct ever, it's close. The soldier's story was simply to get more attention to a serious problem in Texas. Further, it sounds like you really haven't listened to NPR very much. Most pundits describe NPR as Liberal Extremists.
