A FOOD CHAIN RADIO RELEASE FROM METROFARM.COM

They sneak across the border by the millions to work in our fields, thus you and I can eat cheap food.  But our reliance on cheap labor leads us to ask…
Can we eat without illegal immigrants?
This Saturday at 9am Pacific, Michael Olson’s Food Chain Radio hosts Craig Regelbrugge, from Agriculture Coalition for Immigration Reform, for a conversation about agriculture’s need for labor.
Topics include the extent to which agriculture has come to rely on immigrant labor; why this labor tends to be illegal immigrant labor; and whether we can feed ourselves without a never-ending stream of illegal immigrant labor to work in our fields.
