Hi Marty,
I've been gardening for over thirty years..  I would love to teach for help in my garden..

Lists like this one and gardening web sites might help with the
learning curve for people from cities or suburbs who don't know much
about gardening. I have gotten much from people on line and on
websites. It's hard for me to know how much I know about gardening
from my years as a naturalist, left overs from my starts and stops at
gardening as a kid, my years of teaching biology, etc. It is
difficult to find good gardeners willing to teach. I have little idea
of how long it would take the average person to go from not gardening
to being able to feed themselves. It might be good to have a list of
web sites where you can go if you are a beginner. That seems like a
step toward homeland security.
