We see food items going up here but from the looks of it world prices are
getting out of hand, and sooner or later it's liable to get worse here. I'm
following this because as groceries keep going up we may need to rethink our
own prices at the markets. Will too many customers be looking for bargains,
or will most be willing to at least match the supermarket prices?

One thing most customers don't realize is cooking from basic vegetables can
actually be cheaper than processed, packaged junk food they fill their carts
with. And far cheaper than microwave dinners. Of course it's healthier too,
and safer. Drawback: too many never learned to cook. We found that simple
directions delighted some of our customers who asked what to do with squash.
With the nuttier flavor of Delicata and Lakota winter squash, just halve it,
add butter, and bake. The came back raving about it. Maybe recipe cards will
sell more variety.

This is just a sample of what I'm seeing.
