Thank you much for this and the previous one about local food. I live in southwest Virginia and go to the Abingdon area regularly on business, so it's of particular significance to me.
I'm a little surprised at the comment about "no arugula or lavendar," though, since both of those seem to be favorites with farmer's market customers. I agree that it's important to show people you can buy many of the same things in the farmer's market that you're used to seeing in the grocery store, but I hate to see anything ruled out.
