Educational and Training Programs from the Organic Trade Association
"You'll be surprised at the number of educational and training
opportunities there are for people interested in learning more about
organic and sustainable farming--both hands on and in the classroom. There
are over 40 student-run farms on campuses around the country, most of them
organic. There are degree programs in sustainable and organic agriculture
in almost every state--and new programs start up all the time. In 2006, for
example, Washington State University announced a new organic agriculture
major. And there are hundreds of opportunities for apprenticeships and
internships on working organic farms throughout the country. You'll find
them all below. If you're aware of a program or apprenticeship that we
haven't listed, please let us know."
