Now how do you make any impression on the real problem - those that make and implement government policy?  The Agribiz folks have their lobbyists.  Voices for a sustainable environment (or agriculture) are too fragmented and ineffective.  No money in it, I guess.

Many thanks to Paul for keeping us aware of this.  I feel inclined to, but it so infuriates me that I'd be doing nothing but frothing here; and that would be stupid because folks here absolutely get the enormity of all of this.

I'd like to point folks at a great DVD for exposing the myths of biofuels:

http://www.sfbayoil.org/sfoa/myths/index.html

I obtained (paid for) two copies of the DVD, and have ended up circulating something like 35 copies around (this is encouraged).  I used some of this material in my recent panel presentation (I was the only one to utilize a slide presentation), and am forever grateful to the producer of the DVD, Dennis Brumm, and to the excellent presentation by David Fridley (his presentation makes me look like a kindergartener!).

NOTE: My presentation basically kicked the "pro" biofuels folks' behinds.  I had the audience really being aggressive toward the "pro" folks.  Of course, none of this would have been possible if not from the great support of this group- you all are some of the best examples of what's right in this world.
