Post Oil Solutions Announces Cold Frame/Extending the Season Workshop

For the final event in its 2007 "(Re)learning to Feed Ourselves workshop
series, Post Oil Solutions (POS) announces that it is sponsoring a Cold
Frame/Extending the Season workshop of Sunday, October 14, 1:00-4:00 PM, at
Robert King's Chosen Garden, 125 Joy Road, Putney, Vermont (directions
given upon registration).

Robert King has worked with many "master gardeners" over the past 40 years.
His interests include sustainable agriculture, as found in Rudolf Steiner's
Bio-Dynamic scientific/organic methods, low-tech appropriate technology,
and approaching gardening as a year-round activity.

His workshop will focus on the Fall Cold Frame's operation with additional
attention paid to other seasons (Robert and POS may do a Spring Cold Frame
workshop as part of the group's 2008 series). Topics to be covered include
frame construction, proper site, wind protection, soil fertility, planting
schedules, daily operation, cold-hardy greens, watering, harvesting, and
chilly weather strategies.

The workshop, itself, will run from 1:00-3:00 with the final hour devoted
to those who would like to sit with Robert and discuss extending the season
with their gardens.

Workshop fee is $5; pre-registration is required: 802 869 2141
