Cats, Rats, Chickens; Dogs as shepards.
Yes, Dan,

Tomcats are lazy like the Lions, king of the forest,
and the best mousers are the females.

But if you are planning to have a dog to raise with
your sheep or goats, use a male. They should be
raised alone, living with just the animals. When
around a year, should be mated, to get their hormones
roiling, but then fixed so they grow large and never
chase a female in heat.

Regards,
Zack (a Leo)

YOU WROTE --
With rats, most important thing is to put all feed in
metal or wire-protected places so the rats can't get
at it.

The largest tomcats seem to just want to fight with
other cats.

Dan
