You can grow anything, for your area, in permanent beds.  That is the only way to grow crops.  Using handlabor or machinery.

Wisconsin Winter Wheat Production Forecast Looking Good
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 05/15/2007

Favorable winter weather and abundant spring moisture had a positive impact on the 2007 winter wheat crop. At the end of April, winter wheat conditions were rated 76 percent good to excellent, 20 percent fair, and four percent poor to very poor.

The Wisconsin Ag Statistics Service reports that total winter wheat for grain production is forecast to reach 18.2 million bushels in the Badger State, an increase of only one percent from 2006. State yield is currently forecast at 70 bushels per acre, down eight bushels from last year. The 260,000 acres to be harvested for grain this year is up 13 percent from the previous year. The increase in acres to be harvested offsets the lower yield forecast, resulting in the slightly higher production.

can wheat be grown economically using the

under the impression it would only grow now in the

grown to any extent here in Wisconsin...
