We
picked up some Jerusalem artichokes - perennials - at the Santa Fe farmers
market, but they shouldn't be planted this close to frost, should they -
wait for spring. ~paul
You sure about that, Bro? In my experience, JA is a *weed*--put it into the ground and it will *go*--anytime, any place. I've certainly planted it in the fall here, maybe not as close to frost as you may be there (I'm zone 6b), but I expect as long as the ground isn't frozen, you can make your planting now. Then you don't have to worry about storage & other issues.
You keep an eye on them JAs, now--they need a *lot* of discipline!
