Learn Small-scale Sustainable Agriculture in Maine

The new Unity College/Maine Organic Farmers & Gardeners Association
Sustainable Agriculture Program offers a thorough introduction to
sustainable agriculture theory and practice. An intensive three-week May
practicum course provides a foundation in sustainable agriculture through
classroom instruction, visits to premier sustainable farms, hands-on
laboratory work in the college gardens and greenhouses, and seminars with
visiting farmers. The internship offers college credit for summer farm work
experience mentored by a MOFGA farmer expert in both sustainable
agriculture
practice and education.

Components of the program:
*Sustainable Agriculture Practicum
3 weeks of intensive instruction in small-scale sustainable agriculture
May 16-June 3, 2005

*Sustainable Agriculture Internship

Summer 2005
