learn how to work for yourself, instead of for others
http://www.sauderzone.com/samizdat5.htm

"... refusing to participate in aggressive warfare is one important way to
redress the imbalance in the personal power dynamic between us and the
so-called ruling "elites". On the financial side of the equation, it is
important to find ways that you can retain more of your money for your own
use and well-being. There are many ways to do this. One of the most important
may be to learn how to work for yourself, instead of for others. Here is what
I mean: say you work for a large corporation; they pay you a certain amount
of money, but they retain much more for themselves and may make billions of
dollars of profits, which they distribute to the shareholders or owners of
the company. At any time, they may decide to eliminate your position and
throw you out of work, maybe even into the street. In fact, that is quite
common these days. They may willy-nilly fire you and ship your job off to
India or Mexico, after having sucked profits out of your time, effort and
labor over a period of years. Unhappily, this has happened to millions of
Americans in recent years.

"There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of ways, to work for
yourself. Doing so may enable you to keep more of your money. It also permits
you to manage your own time, on your own terms, thus giving you more control
of your personal life. Why should a large corporation, owned and controlled
by the so-called, ruling "elites", dictate to you how you will dress, when
you must come and go, how you must behave, and how much you will earn, and
when? Working for yourself is much more freeing!"
