I admit ignorance on the larger subject of agricultural regulation either in
the US or Canada. In general, I'm more Libertarian, keep government small
and out of my face. And frankly I could care less how much the government
bullies the large industrial farming operations (but I believe most of their
"regulation" is actually shrouded in "conditions for subsudies" rather than
outright restrictions). What really caught my attention was "how to bring
the thousands of small and moderate size farms under the act. The biggest
change on many of these farms will be the paper trail needed to demonstrate
compliance with the act." Bah!
