Hello All,

Final update on upside down tomatoes...

The fruit are slightly smaller, and there a less of them. However, they are very firm, almost hard when ripe. Perfect for sauce.

They made a decided "plunk!" when hitting the bottom of my tomato boiler. You could feel they were denser than in-ground tomatoes when cutting them with a knife. Much like a hothouse tomato in winter.

Taste is similar to standard roma tomatoes.

I would consider the experiment a success, but not an overwhelming success.

Later,
Tom
