Title: Re: Reminder
Hey Joe,
Thanks for forwarding the request. I’m about to receive a yummy order of scionwood from George and Bree. ( His daughter. ) They’ve been able to supply me with 44 out of 60 different varieties of apples. About 10 varieties are already in the orchard – but the production of wood last summer with all the weird weather shifts was lousy so I don’t want to sabotage any growth. I’ve also had a few nice chats with Bill Wheeler, he operated Inner Coastal a few years back, and is slowly re-activating things as he finds time.
Your Centennial, Ashmead’s and Honeycrisp all look good – will likely wait a bit before cutting. As one of the nafex fellows recently mentioned, the best place to store scionwood is on the tree.
Cheers, Bizmark.
