I was looking forward to getting a 26 inch monitor for my new Mac (I already got the 2.8 Mac Book Pro 15 and it is awesome.)

Is the difference in monitor size between a 25.5" and 23" really significant if the smaller one has a higher resolution and higher contrast ratio? I already have a 40" Samsung HDTV so I really don't need the HDTV capability in the 26"... but it would be nice to have an extra HDTV if the resolution wouldn't be that noticeable.

My primary program is Adobe CS3; I do a tremendous amount of graphics work. I'm also a leading edge baby boomer so my eyes are not as young as some of yours which is why I was wanting the bigger monitor. Below are my two options.

Samsung 2343BWX 23" LCD Monitor - 5ms, 2048 x 1152, 20000:1 Dynamic, VGA, DVI, Black at $200
Samsung T260HD Touch of Color 26" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1080p, 1920x1200, WUXGA, 1000:1, 5ms, HDMI at $360.

I was already prepared to spend the $360 so the only big deal for me is the resolution.
I'm buying it first thing in the morning tax-free so quick feedback would be appreciated!

Susan
