Once a system has been compromised, you are far better off
loading your operating system and applications onto a freshly partitioned and
formatted disk than trying to repair the system. Why? Because of the time and
quality. You could spend a lot of time with remedies that may not have the
quality of a system that has not been compromised. Unless you love drilling down into the Windows registry and spending
lots of time, backup you data and nuke/pave. Regards, Contact Information: Customer Referrals: sales AT neuserivernetworks.com Customer Service/Support: support AT neuserivernetworks.com From:

These are NOT to replace virus
protection but to clean up a machine before installing a product that will
monitor and run in the background.
2. Try combofix from bleepingcomputer.com

Any ideas of what to use?
I'm running XP Pro with an aging system that I'm getting ready to replace. Want
to be sure I am not propagating problems when I move the data. I
have 1 meg of RAM and 40 GB hard drive with 5 GB free space.
