Wasn't someone looking for Windows XP licenses recently? Here ya go! Even has SP3 rolled into it (which might save hours of updating)! $133.99

When it takes 2 hours to wipe and reload, I had rather use that method than spending time searching for solutions that will fix a problem. Not everyone will agree with me; however, my methods are tried and proven over many, many years.
I load AVG for folks that do not want to buy a commercial version. My mom uses it. If it is good enough for mom, well, go for it.
As for the wipe and reload, we’ll do it for flat $149. Sometimes you can find deals on new systems, though, on par with repair costs
Besides, it is not way difficult to do it yourself. The method is what is most important, not who pushes the buttons.

Hi Folks,
A friend of mine just sent me this email. Have any of you run into this lately? If so, do you know which (I guess it's a hijacking trojan) malware it is and what security software can get rid of it?
Thanks much!
Colleen
Seems as though I have a virus on my laptop. I'm getting re-directed to other sites when I google search and choose a site.
AVG has been recommended -- free version.
I liked Kaspersky but have let me subscription expire. I probably have old versions of Norton and Sematiec around the shelves somehwere.
Suggestions? I need to act on this today!
Going out for walk in the snow now. Have been dealing with biz issues this am.
Advice welcomed!!
