all,
this is an unofficial request (i'm not the contracting company nor am i the hiring manager. i am, however, the engineer that this position will work for).
i need someone with solaris experience. lots of solaris experience. you need to have done plenty of zone building and customization. you need to have done a lot with disk suite (actually just the simple stuff like mirroring and striping). you need to really know jumpstart (though we have built a non-sun-supported jumpstart DVD i believe that a thorough knowledge of jumpstart servers and building/deploying jumpstart clients woulld do the job).
i don't know what the pay rate is. it won't suck.
i don't know what the duration is though i do believe that it's at least in the high single digit months and could continue for a while.
i have not been real happy with the condidates that the contracting companies have brought to the table. surely, there is someone as old as me with similar experience that could use a steady gig for a while.
feel free to repost (i'm cross posting to TriLUG). and you can send resume's directly to me. i'll forward to a responsible party (which makes me sound like i'm not responsible but that's another conversation).
thanks,
stan
