This is frustrating. I have thee Macs and an Apple TV. Two of the three Macs can "see" my Apple TV (A-TV shows up under "Devices" in iTunes) but not the third. We are all using the same network. I have reinstalled iTunes on the mac that can't see the Apple TV. I've rebooted... everything, twice at least and I've exhausted Apple's suggestions what to do about the problem. I have even turned off all firewalling on the affected machine. No luck.
Now here's the weird thing - I *AM* able to stream audio from iTunes to the Apple TV from the affected machine but the Apple TV will NOT show up under Devices so that I might be able to stream video. It's really annoying. If this helps here's the final oddity: I used to be able to stream video from the affected machine to the Apple TV but then the hard drive died and that brought with it a complete rebuild of the machine. Following the new HD install I can't see the Apple TV under devices. I know Bonjour is working because I can chat within my house via Jabber and print to the Bounjour printer upstairs (along with a list of other Bonjour specific things).
I won't declare defeat on the matter. I can't actually. But I do need to call in some reinforcements. Any ideas, suggestions?
