Subject: Credit Protection question
Hi Colleen,
Per our discussion the other night, here's my
question:
Would the most practical and economical way to really protect
my credit with each of the Big 3
Bureaus be to pay them $10 each to lock my
credit, and then, as needed, another $10 to unlock my credit? For example,
I might want to check my credit report, and believe that I would have to unlock
my account to do this.
This seems like a really solid way to protect my credit-- unless there are a number of other activities that my credit would have to be unlocked for of which I am currently unaware.
The alternative is to monitor all three services at one cost that would be lower-- however, you would know about an intrusion "after" the fact.
Do you have any information on this?
Thanks!
Barry
