Just doing some shopping today there were lots of crowds which I presume were caused by the tax free status. The Southpoint Apple Store had long lines, and I couldn't find a parking spot at Staples in Chapel Hill. The Dell kiosk at Southpoint had crowd control queues set up but they were empty :-)
