Work at WCPE

Employment Opportunity: WCPE Webmaster

This position requires the ongoing development and growth of WCPE's dynamic website and internet activities creating quality web content on a daily basis, including but not limited to: streaming services, online secure donor database management, interactive donor area, station e-newsletters, internet fundraising, working with vendors for acquiring and upgrading internet and streaming services, tracking costs and benefits of internet projects, and additional assignments from time to time.

You will work with every department of the station to ensure that their needs for internet and web services are met, so strong organizational skills, verbal and written communications skills, and interpersonal skills are required.

A two-year degree in computer and/or internet/web technology and demonstrated proficiency is required; a four-year degree is a plus. Strong design and visual arts skills as well as knowledge of internet programming languages, including HTML, is required.

A professional and entrepreneurial attitude, with a creative and detail-oriented character, with good verbal and written communication skills is required. You must be able to work well with others in a close-knit small business environment. As a team player, you may be asked to assist with overflow work from other departments as time permits.

Days, hours, and times will vary; both part-and full-time positions are being considered; indicate your preference. However, to keep the station's services continuously operational 365 days a year without fail, weekend and evening work may sometimes be necessary, so reliable transportation is a requirement.

Previous employment at a small business, a non-profit organization, a newspaper or magazine, a radio or television station, or a degree in communications or broadcasting is a plus. A desire to expand engineering skills by providing assistance with the station's in-house computer network and its infrastructure is also a plus.
