Hi
Folks,
Todd
Thigpen runs the Triangle Networking Group (TNG), and is in the process of
starting his own technology business (He's an EE from NCSU). Some of
you probably know him. Along the way he investigated legal services, and
ended up buying them for this company and becoming a representative of the
company from which he bought them. He asked me to pass along
information on the Pre-Paid Legal Services plans, a form of insurance for
legal services.
I'm sure that Todd would be
happy to answer any questions that you have. He can be reached at toddthigpen AT alumni.ncsu.edu
or (919) 451-3214.
Thanks!
Colleen

Hi
Colleen,
Thanks
for the speedy reply. All memberships are monthly and have no required
commitment. There are startup fees. Prices are available on the plan
availability page for NC. The standard legal plan is $16 which covers
the entire immediate family (children up to 18 and 23 if in school). The
legal shield rider is $1. The Identity Theft Shield is $12.95 by itself
and $9.95 with a legal plan. What they get is too much to list in an
email, so people can refer to the link I provided for plans.
I will
tell you this much I know about the legal plan. The plan includes
unlimited phone consultation. I have called the providing law firm, see www.browneflebotte.com, several
times. I've been to their main office is in Durham and spoke to the
managing partner, Merritt. I am exited because this law firm is one of the
most technically advanced in the Pre-Paid Legal System. They are dedicated
to service and invested in a phone system that gives them an edge. I'm
normally talking to an attorney within 5 minutes of calling. They will
send letters and make phone calls on members' behalf. One of my customers
was having a problem with Bassett Furniture. He was able to consult with
an attorney on the same day he enrolled in the legal plan and they did something
on his behalf because Bassett called him with days to make things right.
The standard plan starts with 60 hours of trial defense services and maxes out
at 300 hours. The expanded plan starts out with 75 hours of trial defense
services and maxes out at 330 hours. The provider law firm's website
states that an attorney's hourly rate is $150 to $250 per hour.
I hope this gets people interested. Thanks for your
support.
cheers,
Todd
