Does anyone have an older working PC box around that they'd be willing
to part with for cheap? I need something to put my more static business
matters onto. Thanks!

I have an old IBM Aptiva. It's hooked to a much older 15" Compaq monitor, which you may have if you need a monitor, too.

A note on the Aptiva: it was in my parents' house when they were flooded out during Hurricane Floyd. Their house was flooded so badly that they had to get new floors and replace much of the drywall. Needless to say, the computer was under water for many hours, possibly two or three days.

But it runs great. I even added a NIC a couple years ago so that I could hook it up to my home LAN.

Say what you will, IBM makes a d@mn fine machine.

(An old roommate used to tell stories about dropping an old IBM keyboard off the top of Phillips Hall at Carolina. Two keys popped off, but she popped them back on, and was still using it two or three years later. Like I said: d@mn fine machines.)

Let me know.

PS Did you move out of your office in Carrboro? I had a job near Calvander, and drove back through there. I looked for your sign, but didn't see it.
