Wireless may work for pulling up web sites. I wouldn't touch it in an
office with file/print services or email. Why? Because the transmission
frequency is not regulated. Thus, Bozo next door can use the same frequency
you use and hose your network.

For non critical needs, you may be ok with any of the major manufacturers (I
have used LinkSys in the past). For a site to site solution between
adjacent manufacturing plants, I have successfully installed a Proxim
Tsunami bridge; however, you're talking $1200 instead of $50 for the
hardware.
