There is a variant of the myDoom virus that was released today which has
caused both the onslaught of emails and the slow down of the search engines.

In addition to looking in your address book and internet cache for
addresses, this one also harvests the search engines for email addresses and
it is what shutdown google and several other search engines today.

www.google.com

Given that, it might be prudent to consider the pluses and minuses of
adjusting the web archive of our list to insert some anti-spam addition to
email addresses.
