Terminal as in = probably cost more to fix than to replace?
yes.
Termianl as in - Can I fix it?
yeah, probably either the 'card tray' or whatever they call it these days. Unfortunately the things are built to be disposable so most folks won't know how to repair the one part, they'll want to give you a new card tray.
There might be a few old TV shops around that could fix it though for the parts, if Gateway (or, more importantly who made it for gateway) published the details about it.
