We've talked a lot about Outsourcing. The CED is having a forum on it:

November 19 Technology Forum - "Outsourcing Strategies: Entrepreneurs
Weigh
Pros and Cons"

Date: Wednesday, November 19, 2003
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. (Registration 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.)
Location: MCNC Building 1, 3021 Cornwallis Road, RTP, N.C.

Preserving and efficiently utilizing capital lies at the heart of
implementing any entrepreneur's business plan, and it has become
critical for survival in the current funding environment. One method
often used to reduce a company's consumption of capital is outsourcing
functions to vendors. Outsourcing has also emerged as a crucial element
in extending/implementing companies' strategic business
models/platforms.

At CED's November Tech Forum, the following company execs will guide
attendees through the "dos" and "don'ts" of outsourcing and discuss
emerging outsourcing trends in the marketplace:

Michael Munsch, COO, MercuryMD, Inc.
Gary Ban, COO, Summus, Inc.
Timothy Hess, Founder, President and CEO, Serenus Technology Group

Topics discussed at this forum will include:

* Pros and cons of outsourcing
* Identifying the best functional areas in your company to outsource and
those to retain
* Different outsourcing models and strategies
* Hidden costs of outsourcing, cost-benefit analysis
* Selection and management of vendors
* Outsourcing locally versus internationally

The November Technology Forum is sponsored by UNC Kenan-Flagler Business
School and Cingular Wireless.

**Please note: Online registration will close Friday, November 14th**
