Hey,

Has anyone in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill area ever had the police show up,
answering a 9-1-1 call from your address that you know, for a fact, was not
placed from your address?

This just now happened to me. It also happened to me repeatedly, over the
course of maybe three weeks, earlier this year. The last time it happened, I
called my phone company to explain what was happening and it stopped.
Tonight, it happened again and I wonder if it has anything to do with phone
company stuff. I haven't had a landline here in close to a year. The officer
I spoke to tonight said his dispatcher actually spoke to someone who said
they were at MY address and needed 9-1-1 assistance. I talked with the
officer and explained that nobody here is in any trouble--I'm the only one
here--and he was cool.

Anybody else in the area had trouble like this?

Beth
