Call your local big bookstore [Barnes&Noble, Borders, whatever] and ask
for someone from shipping/receiving. Tell them you're looking for boxes
for a move, and ask when they get shipments and if it'd be okay to drop in
to take some of the empties off their hands.

They'll probably be glad to let you walk in and grab them.
