With the college game now completely relegated to minor leagues for the NBA, is there any reason to care about college basketball? I have never been a fan of basketball (being round and short vs. skinny and tall), however, these days kids come into a program for a year or two and then bail at the first sign of dollars. I don't blame them a bit, but it is difficult to get a feel for your "home team" when the best players are bailing each year.
I must admit though that I have been a little amused at the woes at UNC-CH basketball. Probably due to my degree from NCSU and all the holier than thou crap I endured from UNC co-workers through the Valvano years. Heck, I didn't even care if NC State won games or not, but people kept thinking they had to share their concerns about college sports problems. I didn't even know the names of the people on the team until I checked out who was arrested during the weekend.

The wrong person got fired yesterday as far as I am concerned. If that situation isn't rectified soon, the chancellor should be added to the list.
