About 1/2 a second is all it takes for me to turn the radio OFF! So
how come he gets two hours to spout banal crud and play bad folk > music?

For that matter why is Whad'Ya Know on the air? Michael Feldman just
isn't funny, but at least he doesn't try to sing :-)

In any event, the funniest show on radio is Wait, Wait, don't tell me.

Ack. Blech. Can't stand that show. All those news reporters mistaking cynicism for humor in between taking snide potshots at their favorite love-to-hate famous people.

I have to sheepishly admit that I _occasionally_ like Prairie Home Companion. But then my CD shelf is full of alt.country and other sub genre's of Americana. Every once in the while the news from Lake Woebegone is amusing to me. However, I will concede that the show has slid a LOT since the days I used to listen to it (mid-80s). And I'll happily acknowledge that he can't sing worth a lick.

Anyone into This American Life? I find the host to be smug and irritating. But sometimes if they have an interesting theme, the feature pieces are wonderful.
