I work for TIPS and already sent Steve the info for contacting their
landlord. Bob is a hella nice guy, but I know they are really busy right now
and may not have time to chat about office space. I can vouch for the fact
that the staircase going up to those offices stinks because of the smoke/beer
smells wafting up from OCSC, but the office TIPS occupies doesn't smell. And
they have a number of computers running constantly with no problems
getting/staying online. It's also bright with big windows. And if work gets
to be a drag, once 4:30pm comes along you can go downstairs for a few drinks.
Or go downstairs to the barber for a lovely shave. Or go enjoy some casual
banking at Bank of America.

Main Street really does have it all.

Beth

Hey, Kelly Jo - another ignorant slut here.

My guess is that it had as much to do with fear of massive spikes in
bandwidth usage (and the associated costs) as it did with concern over
what "the children" might see - the ISP pays someone upstream for its
bandwidth, just as the guy hosting the images pays the ISP; stories are
legion of sites that get hit by sudden popularity bankrupting their
owners. And these would be images that might draw a crowd.

I dunno, I'm with Thomas on this one, though. It's not censorship if
a private individual or company wants to determine what can or can not
be done with their property. It's "exercise of personal freedoms".

That's not an insult, it's a reference to an old Saturday Night Live
skit. It's funny.
