Has anyone had experience w/indoor herb gardening?

Some. I'm about to get a whole lot more experience since I just moved from a semi-rural (more rural than suburban) environment to a semi-urban (more urban than suburban) environment. The new place has no grass, lots of pavement, but lots of vertical space indoors.

I didn't have a whole lot of luck with herbs indoors. I definitely want to get some mints going, rosemary, oregano, and maybe basil.

Stevia seems to do well indoors but use of it in the kitchen is impractical. Still, it's nice to grab a stevia leaf and a spearmint leaf, chew on it, and enjoy nature's own Juicy Fruit gum flavor.
