It is an Olympus, and this is the first Olympus - digital or 35mm - that I
have had problems with. The suggestions clipped from the web wouldn't work
with my model (and I suspect most models) because the camera won't
operate/turn on with the card slot door open.
I'll probably wind up shipping it back to Olympus - would like to keep
this camera instead of tossing it like most electronic toys consumers
would. Of course, my mother has already gotten another camera ... *sigh*
