Cut across Carver (next light past Durham Regional, just before the
steakhouse) to Broad St, (just past Duke St.), and there's a Rudino's
and a Golden China in Northpointe across from CostCo, maybe 5-7 minutes.
Or keep going down Broad another mile or two to Mad Hatter's in front of
Whole Foods. Noodle bowls...yummmm.
Actually, there are a couple of restaurants in Oxford Commons near
Wal-Mart, although I can't vouch for the quality of any of them. One is
like a "Japan Express" or such, and there's one that looks sort of
home-cooking-esque, if I remember correctly. They may be scary, scout
beforehand.
Or if you are truly feeling adventurous, there's the Pollo Loco in the
old Pizza Hut building near KMart. Friends say it's good, although I'd
imagine it would help to know some Spanish to order ;-).
