Beth
I am not a member of the Red Hat group, only the smart tags yahoogroups. Can you point me to specific URLS or post the workarounds to the Internetworkers list so others can prepare for the assimilation when it occurs?
Thanks
Saundra

Hell, if they had seen the thread that was going around Red Hat yesterday, they would've realized that 1) there are ways of disabling Smart Tags and 2) we all hate them like we never have before for even considering using them.

""At this time we just don't believe it's going to be ready when
(Windows XP) ships in October," Microsoft spokesman Jim Cullinan said
late Wednesday. "External feedback" was one of the factors that led the
company to remove the feature, although he indicated it could be
resurrected in later versions."
"Cullinan also emphasized that Smart Tags remain a feature of Office XP,
the upgrade to Microsoft¹s suite of applications that launched on May
31."
So which is it? The code isn't ready (although it's already in use in
Office XP) or they're backing down because of public pressure? Betcha a
quarter the code'll be there and they'll trot it out in a year or so
with the first "upgrade" or service pack.
