Make that two for the first part. I received one of Big Briar's theremin kits
as a gift, and installed it into an Ethan Allen "stork box". Unfortunately it
stopped working after a children's birthday party-- I left it alone for a
second, and when I came back the insides were showing and some wires were
ripped out :-(
Hopefully it can be fixed, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. As for the
playing part, actually making music with a theremin is devilishly hard, and
I've tried to learn more than a couple instruments. I'd rate it more
difficult than violin and guitar at least.
