just two days after the John Edwards and company privacy talk, another
side will be heard at NCSU:
ibiblio will be streaming this event live from NCSU. UNC's SILS is one of
the sponsoring organizations.

"On May 23 from 1 to 4 pm Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility
(CPSR) is holding a Forum on Personal Privacy, a public event on privacy
issues, namely the capture, sale and use of private information. This will
be a "Debate and Educate" event on the campus of North Carolina State
University in the Kamphoefner auditorium
Speakers include:
Brock Meeks, Washington DC bureau chief for MSNBC.
Wayne Crews, Directory of Technology Policy at the Cato Institute.
Robert Ellis Smith, attorney and publisher of the Privacy Journal.
This event is intended to increase awareness of and encourage discussion
around the use and misuse of personal information. It is geared toward the
high technology sector and is expected to be of interested to
policymakers, technologists, and others interested in privacy issues."
