I was lucky enough to find my job through the newspaper, but I know I'm
unusual.

Monster.com used to be helpful, several years ago, but it is almost all
recruiters now.

I agree that the best approach is to find companies you would like to work
for, then go to their web sites.

One of my friends in Atlanta just walked into the Cobb Chamber of Commerce,
asked if they had any jobs, and landed a job as a New Member Sales Manager.
How's that for fate?
