Is this surprising information? Businesses have thrived in an
atmosphere of venture capital and IPOs. I would find it odd if this went
on for a long time. Some will lose out eventually unless they can
demonstrate some cash flow.
We are in very good times. Sometimes we forget this. It was only a
decade or so ago when people were begging for work. I was dang glad to
have a job through those times. It will happen again someday (hopefully,
some-long-time-from-now-day).
