Fine here in Mordecai in Raleigh, though a friend of ours slid on the ice
turning onto our street and ripped off her side view mirror on a phone
pole. Fortunately there was a chain link fence to prevent her from going
into the creek below.
My folks in Southern Pines were without power thanks to a fallen tree
branch on the street over from theirs, but there was a crew working on it
when they called. I can't imagine the debris from a more severe storm down
there - Midland Road leading from S Pines to Pinehurst is lined with pine
trees next to the road and in the median. But the trees must be saved! at
the sake of public safety...
