O.K., and the answer is, from a friend in Canada:

No, we don`t. Usually the manufacturer will test it for us. National Presto Industries will test the gauge for no charge.

``Carefully remove and package the gauge. Send the gauge to:
National Presto Industries
3925 North Hastings Way
Eau Claire, WI 54703-2200
Questions? Presto Consumer Service Department (1-800-877-0441)``

Or, you can go to a radiator shop the does pressure checks on radiators, which is what I do.

I can ask on another list but I don't think they have an equivalent. You can go to a radiator shop and have it checked and that's what I do since none of the exention offices around me check them.

Can someone tell me what the Canadian equivalent of a "county extention office"
is? I want to get my pressure regulator checked out before I use my canner for
the first time. (I bought a 22 qt Presto canner/cooker)
