Original plant yellowish, and about 7" long. I didn't care too much for the
flavor of the original, but what the heck this is an experiment........
One seed planted,,,,,,, the plant is now some 30' across, three main branches
that don't want to quite and keep flowering and putting out new squash.
Some are like the original, most are something else.
They look like pumpkins (orange, teardrop elongated).
The smell like pumpkins when you open them.
But the texture is definitely spaghetti squash.
I just steamed half of the first one opened, and just had to taste it without
any seasoning at all.
OMG it is sooooooooooo delicious. Almost sweet.
The meat is a very light yellow color.
14 more of these are growing on the single plant. The rabbits ate about 4 of
the little ones, and now I know why..........
I like curcubits !! So far easy, and a beginner needs the encouragement !
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I'd have so many watermelons,
canteloupe, and honey dew and squash (hubbard, acorn, and mutants spaghetti)
all of the dang things are still making babies !
Just when I thought the plants were starting to get "worn out" looking,
they've gotten a 2nd wind and putting out new leaves and flowers.
Same w/ beans, especially the pinto beans.
I do wish at times that I had a separate room to process all the food, and
start little plants for the spring, as my living space is very tiny. Pretty
soon, there will only be enough room for food and no room for me...........

I think most people opposed to this are uncomfortable with the idea he will
have a private audience with their children and they will not be privy to
what he is telling them. We already know the celebrities in the video among
other things encourage them to pledge their allegiance to Barrack Obama.
We know very little of the rest of the message though. I am never opposed to
letting my children listen to the president, but I would like to be there
for the message as well. Is there a reason this is not being shown on
television so families can view it together as opposed to closed circuit in
classrooms? The schools have been given materials to work with the students
in
class after the message but the schools are not supposed to let anyone
outside see them ahead of time according to our school system. Again the
opposite of transparency.

I can't believe the fuss about President Obama's speech to school
children! People claim he's 'indoctrinating' children (we all know about the
'mind
control vibes' broadcasts send out), and tell parents to take their
children out of school that day because children "shouldn't be required" to
listen
to the president. What message does THAT send to children? To me, to
refuse to even let your children listen is total disrespect to the office of
the
President (and disrespectful of the children; not letting them form their
own opinions).
Reagan and Bush Sr. both spoke nation-wide to schools. Reagan's was
apparently very political, laced with how he cut taxes, etc. Was there this
kind
of protest over his speech (I was out of school and didn't have kids yet,
so I'm clueless)? What has this country come to?
