We have an acquaintance who grows Marlboro Prolific corn. This is an OP
dent corn from the early 20th century from what I can tell. I did a
websearch and read the various articles about this corn, but none were
very descriptive. I am hopeful that we can get an ear or two from him
for next year's crop, but I was hoping to find an additional
source-genetic diversity and all of that. Can I ask those of you with
heirloom seed catalogs to look for this variety in your
catalog...especially seed bank catalogs? Thanks.
IF, by some miraculous coincidence, any of you have seeds of this
variety, I would gladly pay or trade for a few seeds.
This page I found is really interesting, too.

Just in case you think we haven't lost many varieties in the last 100
years...

not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius
will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the
world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone
are omnipotent. The slogan 'press on' has solved and always will solve
the problems of the human race"
