Just a couple of small holes in their theory <g>

a) most cloth diaper using folks I know used them forever. Sheesh, I haven't had a kid in diapers in over 15 years and we're still using the cloth diapers for things. Ah, disposibles sure don't make very good shop clothes <g>

b) they left out the landfill problem in the equation.

c) most of the folks I knew using cloth diapers *did* hang them out because the sun is the best sanitizer, deodorizer and bleacher there is!

d) I've never used anything but cold water for washing, so, the water temp wasn't even in the equation for me.

However, that study was done in the UK, so who knows what they do.

With younger brothers in the house, I grew up with cloth diapers soaking in
bleach. I detested them so much we used disposables on our kids. Turns out
that was the responsible path:
